Harissa is a classic North African spice that adds rich warmth and depth to food. This spicy and aromatic blend works as a topping for meat, chicken, lamb, tofu or vegetables, or it can be easily transformed into a paste in the home kitchen.
Make your own easy harissa paste:
Mix one small jar of tomato puree (approx. 70 g) and a tablespoon of Harissa seasoning. Let it sit in the fridge for a while and use it like ready-made harissa paste: spread, mix, marinade or dip.
The flavor of harissa combines paprika, smoked paprika, garlic, tomato, chili, habanero, and traditional North African spices like jeera and coriander. A light spiciness meets a multi-hued balance of smokiness and spices.
